Good morning everyone,
just a few quick reminders in preparation for our AGM and Club champs tomorrow.
– the AGM will begin at 7.45am. in the club room. All positions will be vacant and we will be calling for nominations for our new committee for the coming year. All are welcome to attend and we would love to see some new faces volunteering their time and contributing to the running of the club. We even encourage the sharing of positions.
– Swimmers will be warming up while the AGM is taking place.
– 3 timekeepers for each lane is required. This is best practise for official meets and the link for timekeeping volunteering is https://volunteersignup.org/49DCW. If you wish for your swimmers to gain official times, please give of your time.
– If you are not timekeeping, spectators will be asked to remain in the grandstand, and not on pool deck. This enables the smooth running of the morning, and allows our officials to be able to move freely.
– Our club BBQ will be running after the AGM, selling our usual sausage, bacon and eggs. EFTPOS will be available
– tickets for our easter raffle will be sold, $2 a ticket or 3 tickets for $5. Winners will be announced towards the end of our club championships. Thank you to all the families and businesses who have donated to this. The prizes are outstanding!
Thanks in advance to our referees, starter and marshaller for tomorrow. Very much appreciative of your time. Looking forward to a great morning of racing and welcoming our new committee!

At our committee meeting on Wednesday night it was decided a change to the swimming program is needed due to an increase in numbers for club night. From this week onwards swimmers will swim a freestyle and 1 other formstroke only for that week, as nominated in the following program. If our junior swimmers are unable to swim the form stroke, they can swim a second freestyle. On the Individual Medley weeks, another formstroke will be offered to those not ready for the IM.
Amended program – week 13(16th February) – week 18 (22nd March)
PLEASE NOTE THE NEW DATE FOR OUR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS AND AGM (10TH MARCH, 2024). Just a couple of reminders to help us run club night smoothly.
– It is expected that entries are completed on swim central. The race desk ladies really cannot be entering anyone on the night after 6.30pm as they need to have paperwork ready for club night to begin.
– All swimmers should be in the marshalling area, ready for their race. It is quite difficult to place swimmers into a lane if they have missed their race.
– Families are expected to volunteer for time keeping (or BBQ if that is your area of expertise) at least once a month. We have many new families, so 12 timekeepers should be easy to fill each week. The link is sent out each week. If you are not confident, see Stuart or Ty on pool deck or feel free to shadow a friend and watch how it’s done.
The link for timekeeping this week is:
volunteersignup.org/X3QHE
It is important that club night runs smoothly. We need to begin promptly at 7pm as we only have a pool booking until 8pm. We need to be mindful of the support our lifeguards and pool staff give us on the night.
Looking forward to another great night this week. Get your entries in early!
Some of the Club may be aware of ex-member, Scott Farnell and his ongoing battle with Cancer. His wife has set up a Go Fund Me page to assist with costs of heading overseas for treatment.
Any amount of support would be greatly appreciated.
